Honest Truth

I find that as I get older, the relationships between people gets more and more complicated. There is no straight answer. There is no honest truth. Everyone just doesn't want to say what is on their mind. They like to hint. Like to suggest. Like to say the opposite of what they really think. To be honest, I have the same problem.

Thinking about this, I remember a commerical on tv about aids. The commerical starts off with the mother saying really nasty things to her daughter, telling her how bad she is and the daughter saying the same things. Somethings a mother shouldn't say to a daughter and somethings a daughter shouldn't say to a mother. For example, the mother saying,"This is my house, I would like to kick you out. " The commerical ends with saying you wouldn't say what is truely on your mind why would you do that with aids. It is time to blah blah blah....

I find the commerical really amusing, if the mother really think so about her daughter and her daughter really thinks like that to her mother, then there is something wrong with their relationship. They should be truthful about what they really think and try to help each other not feel that way from the beginning, before all the bad blood occured, not after.

I remember reading a book called the Chrysalids where everyone of the children can read minds. I wonder what kind of society will that be. If we could all read each other's mind, we don't have to guest at what others are thinking and their true meaning to their words. This will make a lot of things simplier.

But if this happens, our individuality will be gone. Perhaps there isn't a perfect solution. There is no perfect solutions. People are always people!!!
